The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference will celebrate the league's 10th anniversary during the 2016-17 academic year. An official logo has been unveiled for use during the decennial anniversary year and will be incorporated into the NACC's championship and tournament logos.
"The NACC would not be where it is today if not for the commitment of the student-athletes, coaches, administrators and presidents who founded the conference and elevated it to its current level," said NACC Commissioner Steve Larson. "It will be exciting to see how the NACC continues its development over our next 10 years."
The NACC began its first season of competition in the fall of 2006, then known as the Northern Athletics Conference. The conference consists of 12 private colleges and universities from the shared-border states of Illinois and Wisconsin, all of which are NCAA Division III members.
The members of the NACC include Alverno College, Aurora University, Benedictine University, Concordia University Chicago, Concordia University Wisconsin, Dominican University, Edgewood College, Lakeland University, Marian University, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Rockford University and Wisconsin Lutheran College.
Just two changes to the league's full membership have occurred over the first 10 years, as MSOE joined the league in fall of 2007, and Maranatha Baptist University withdrew from the league in the summer of 2013, at which time the league officially changed its name from the Northern Athletics Conference to its current Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
The NACC sponsors championships in 18 sports. Men's championships include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field. Women's championships are sponsored in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field and volleyball.
