Milwaukee School of Engineering's Nick Gross and Concordia University Wisconsin's Matthew Olig have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Position Player and Pitching Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week for events of April 10-16, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Gross (Brookfield, Wis.) batted .588 with 12 RBIs and seven runs scored in four Raider wins last week. The sophomore went 6-for-11 with eight RBIs in a sweep at Edgewood College Saturday and hit a home run in each end of the doubleheader.
Making his second career start, Olig (Plymouth, Wis.) picked up a win over the No. 3 ranked team in the country, UW-Whitewater. The freshman went seven innings and allowed just five hits and two earned runs. He struck out three and walked none in his first career win.
