The junior finished second in both events and his throw of 57.63 meters in the discus is the top throw in Division III and sets AU and NACC records. His throw of 17.10 meters in the shot put is 5th in Division III and sets both AU and NACC records.
Atnip (Mount Horeb, Wisconsin) broke her own school records in both the 5,000-meter run (17:30.20) and the 1,500-meter run (4:42.16) in each day of Washington University Invitational.
