Benedictine University's Emma Roberts has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athlete of the Week for events of April 2-8, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Roberts set a pair of school records at the Benedictine Invite in a field that featured several Division I programs. The sophomore bested her own school record in the 3,000 meters by winning the event with a time of 10:15.32. She placed fourth in the 1,500 meters behind three Division I runners, breaking the record by nearly 10 full seconds. Her 1,500 time of 4:40.92 is currently the best in the conference by over 20 seconds.
