Haberkorn, Klostermann Selected For Weekly Honors

Benedictine University's Holly Haberkorn and Dominican University's Cat Klostermann have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Position Player and Pitching Softball Student-Athletes of the Week for events of April 3-9, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Haberkorn (Westchester, Illinois) hit safely in all six games as part of a 5-1 week for the Eagles. The senior notched four multi-hit games with a pair of three hit performances as she batted .545 with a homer and 12 RBIs. She drove home four in a 12-2 win over Edgewood College and homered at Rockford University. Haberkorn tallied four extra-base hits among 12 total for the week.

Klostermann (Oak Brook, Ill.) allowed just one earned run over 28 innings of work, going 3-0 with a pair of complete games. The rookie right-hander racked up 17 strikeouts while surrendering just six walks and holding opposing hitters to a .190 batting average.
