Benedictine University's Matt Fleming and Edgewood College's Piper Atnip have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for events of Jan. 30-Feb. 5, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Fleming (Chicago, Illinois) won the long jump (7.11 meters) and placed fifth in the 200-meter dash (22.67 seconds) at the Olivet Nazarene Invite. The sophomore currently holds the fourth fastest 200-meter time in the NACC.
Atnip (Mount Horeb, Wisconsin) set new 3,000-meter indoor school record (10:26.67) by nearly 20 seconds and improved her personal best by nearly 25 seconds at UW-Stevens Point's Pointer Invite. The sophomore currently owns fastest 3000-meter time in the NACC. She was also part of winning DMR team that ranks 44th nationally and second in the NACC (13:14.36).
