Benedictine University's Jordan Johnson and Aurora University's Deterrica Simpkins have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for events of Feb. 6-12, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Johnson (Tucker, Georgia) won the 60-meter dash (6.90 seconds) and placed second in the 200-meter dash (22.10) with a time that ranks fourth in the nation while the winner came from Division I. He helped the No. 4 Eagles place third as a team at the Chicagoland Championships, second among Division III programs.
Simpkins (St. Petersburg, Florida) won the 200-meter dash at the Chicagoland Championships. Her time of 25.08 seconds set a new school and conference marks and is the second best time in 2017 in Division III.
