Aurora's Anderson Receives CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America Honor

AURORA, Ill. --- The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division III At-Large teams this morning and Aurora University junior Lauren Anderson was selected as a Second-Team All-America honoree. 

Anderson, a junior marketing major finished the 2017-2018 season averaging an 89.9 over 10 rounds with a round best of 82 and was named a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Golf All-Conference performer for the third straight year. She was the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Elite 90 winner and has been a NACC and AU Scholar-Athlete in 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and will be in 2017-2018 when those teams are announced.

The Aurora University women's golf team finished second in the 2017-2018 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship.

The CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America teams are selected by CoSIDA member sports information directors based on the student-athletes' academic prowess while being a steady influence on their respective athletic field. To be considered for the honor, the nominated student-athletes are required to maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average throughout their academic career at their respective institution.
