MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Sept. 5, 2018) --- Benedictine University junior Emma Roberts (Sandwich, Ill.) and senior Michael Skora (St. Charles, Ill.) have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cross Country Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of August 27-September 2, 2018, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Roberts ran to a second-place finish out of 50 runners at the Saturday's Northern Illinois University Huskie Challenge in DeKalb, Illinois.
She posted a 15:44.9 clocking while competing against runners from all different levels in the 5-kilometer event at the North 40 Championship Cross Country Course. Benedictine finished third out of six teams in the season-opening event.
Skora placed ninth out of 39 runners in the 6-kilometer men's race at the NIU Huskie Challenge with a time of 20:47.1 while competing against runners of all levels. The Eagles placed second in the team race.
