MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Sept. 11, 2018) --- Benedictine University harriers Emma Roberts (Sandwich, Ill.) and Joe Chavez (Aurora, Ill.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cross Country Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of September 3-9, 2018, as selected by the league's sports information directors. It is the second consecutive honor for Roberts.
NACC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Emma Roberts, Benedictine University
Roberts, a junior, was the highest-finishing collegiate runner at Friday's Aurora Spartan Classic. She covered the 6-kilometer course in 22:18.7, placing second a field of 195 runners. Roberts also paced Benedictine to an eighth-place finish out of 16 teams.

NACC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week
Joe Chavez, Benedictine University
Chavez, a senior, was the highest-finishing eligible Benedictine runner and second finishing NCAA Division III runner at the Aurora Spartan Classic Friday afternoon. He ran to a sixth-place time of 25:49.9 in the 8-kilometer event that featured a field of over 200 runners. Benedictine finished third out of 13 teams.
