Tinsley, a senior, competed in three events at the Viking Olympics on April 5. He won the shot put with a throw of 15.44 meters (50-8), then took runner-up honors in the discus throw with a new NACC-leading mark of 49.73 meters (163-2). That throw leads all NACC competitors by nearly five meters. He also finished fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 49.90 meters (163-8). Tinsley now leads the NACC performance list in all three events and ranks 12th on NACC Division III performance list in the discus.
