Doherty, a junior, won the javelin throw at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet on April 24. Doherty’s mark of 43.72 meters (143-5) was a personal best and Edgewood school record. It also currently ranks tops the NACC performance list by over 14 feet and ranks third-best throughout NCAA Division III. Doherty added a seventh-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.23 meters (40-1 1/2) and finished 26th in the discus with a mark of 33.16 meters (108-9).
