Klitzke, a sophomore, broke a 54-year old St. Norbert school record in the shot put at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Meet, throwing a heave of 16.56 meters (54-4). The record, which was set in 1971, stood at 52 feet, 3 inches and was the oldest outdoor record remaining. His distance ranks 20th nationally as he qualified for the NCAA Division III outdoor championships.
