Klitzke, a junior, won the shot put at the Ripon College Winter Open, throwing for a distance of 16.40 meters (53-9 3/4), which is the third best in the NCAA Division III ranks after the opening weekend. He also placed second in the weight throw with a heave of 15.34 meters (50-4).
