Knoebel, a freshman, made his collegiate debut and broke the school record in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:25.38 at the Olivet Nazarene Holiday Open, finishing two full seconds faster than the next runner. He also picked up a 24.16 time in the 200-meter dash.
