Osuala, a senior, broke the Wisconsin Lutheran College school record in the 60-meter dash while winning both the 60 and 200 at the University of Chicago Phoenix Invitational. He topped the 21-competitor field in the 60-meter prelims with a school-record time of 6.93 seconds. Osuala returned to win the 60-meter final in an even faster school-record time of 6.86 seconds. In the 200, Osuala won the 26-competitor event with a personal-best time of 22.68 seconds.
