Springer, a junior, rebroke his MSOE program record and set a new NACC all-time record in the 800-meter run at the UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge. He stopped the clock in 1:51.38 to finish second overall. Springer's time currently ranks 13th on the NCAA Division III performance list and erased the former conference mark of 1:52.50 set by Aurora's Armando Acosta at last year's Augustana (Ill.) Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier.
