Doherty, a senior, won the javelin at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet on April 25. Doherty’s mark of 44.21 meters (145-0) goes down as a school record and is currently the third best mark in Division III. The senior added a second-place finish in the discus throw with a mark of 43.95 meters (144-2) and finished eighth in the shot put with a distance of 12.59 meters (41-3 3/4).
