Springer, a junior, won the 800-meter run at the UW-La Crosse Uncaged Eagle Open with a new NACC and MSOE record of 1:48.99. He went under the 1:50 barrier for the first time in his career and takes the nation's fourth-best time into the NCAA Championships. Springer broke his own NACC all-time mark of 1:51.38 set in mid-April, also at UW-La Crosse - site of this year's national meet.
