Nicklaus, a senior guard, led Marian to victories over Lawrence (83-73) and Concordia Wisconsin (84-78) last week. He opened the week with his first double-double at Marian, scoring 17 points to go with 10 defensive rebounds. Nicklaus then scored 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting against the Falcons in a conference victory. On the defensive end, he had five steals against Lawrence and four more against CUW. Overall, Nicklaus hit 14 of his 24 shots (58 percent) of his shots from the field, was 6-of-15 (40.0 percent) from behind the arc, and drained six of eight free throws.
