Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference

Ayala, a sophomore, finished third in the shot put at the North Central (Ill.) Snow Day Invitational with a heave of 13.70 meters (44-11 1/2), 1.70 meters better than his seed and the third best toss in the conference so far this year. He also finished 11th in the weight throw with a personal-best throw of 12.96 meters (42-6 1/4).
