Velasco, a junior outside hitter, paced the Sabre defense as the Sabres split a pair of non-conference matches. He had a match-high 13 digs against North Park and then once again had a match-high in digs with 11 against Mount St. Joseph. Velasco currently leads the conference with 3.42 digs per set.
