Bermeo, a junior infielder, has been stellar in the leadoff spot through three games for the Spartans, hitting .462 (6-of-13) with a 1.192 OPS (.692 slugging, .500 on-base), four runs scored, and four RBIs. In the opening game of the spring trip, he hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning of an 8-5 win over Penn State-Abington.
