Gianelle, a senior goalkeeper, led Aurora to the 2023 NACC Tournament title and a NCAA tournament appearance with a pair of victories in goal. He stopped 21 of the 28 shots sent his way over two games with 14 saves in the 20-4 semifinal win over Benedictine, then added seven saves with just three goals allowed in the 22-4 final win over Illinois Tech.
