Ellis, a senior guard, led all scorers in the Cougars' 93-88 season-opening win over Illinois College, picking up 31-points and eight rebounds. Ellis shot 68.4 percent (13-of-19) from the field while shooting 50 percent from the three. Ellis also tallied three assists and one block in the double-overtime winner.
