Nickolai, a junior guard, averaged a double-double in a big week for St. Norbert, registering an average of 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as the Green Knights moved into a share of first place. Nickolai scored 16 points with 12 rebounds, four steals and two assists in a 83-76 win over Wisconsin Lutheran Jan. 3. He then had 20 points, eight rebounds and three assists in a 79-66 win over Lakeland on Jan. 6. Nickolai was 10-of-21 from the floor with four 3-pointers while connecting on 12 of 14 attempts at the free-throw line.
