Hoffman, a freshman outside hitter, had an impressive outing in his first appearance as a Cougar as CUC swept a pair of matches from Maranatha Baptist. He picked up 12 kills and two service aces in the opener, then closed out the doubleheader by picking up 11 kills and six service aces to lead the team to another 3-0 win. Hoffman hit a combined .512% on the day for his freshman debut.
