Smith, a sophomore attack, had an impressive outing in MSOE's 18-5 victory over Alma College on March 12. Running point for the Raiders offense, he tallied nine points on five goals and four assists. Smith scored or assisted on seven goals in a stretch of eight unanswered MSOE tallies during the second quarter.
