Doherty, a sophomore, recorded runner-up finishes in both the discus throw and javelin throw with school-record marks at the WLC Warrior Invitational. She posted an effort of 36.57 meters (120-0) in the javelin and a toss of 44.95 meters (147-6) in the discus throw. The WLC Warrior Invite marked the first time in recent memory that an Edgewood student-athlete competed in the discus throw. A national qualifier in the discus a year ago while competing at the University of Dubuque, Doherty currently ranks third on the NCAA Division III performance list.
