Kobelt, a junior, opened the 2024 season with a sixth-place finish with a two-round score of 156 (77/79) at the Carthage College Battle at the Border. Led by Kobelt, Aurora finished second in the event. Kobelt was the top-finishing NACC individual among five teams in the season-opening field.
