Pichler averaged 4.36 kills per set while hitting .336 last week for the Warriors, who opened the season with four matches, including two against nationally-ranked opponents, at the Cal Lutheran Invitational. The freshman opposite tallied double-digit kills in every match, including a school-record 21 kills in a 3-1 win over Calvin on Jan. 11. He wrapped up the season-opening weekend with 61 kills, 18 digs, and nine total blocks.
