Goo Sun, a senior setter/right-side hitter, led Marian offensively to wins over Simpson (3-0) and UW-Stevens Point (3-2) to open the season. Goo Sun had 20 kills between the two matches with 40 assists and a service ace. Against the Storm, he went for a team-high nine kills with 15 assists and six digs. Goo Sun capped the night with a triple-double (11 kills, 25 assists, 10 digs) against the Pointers.
