MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Concordia University Wisconsin's Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) and Marian University's Ashley Welk (Mount Prospect, Ill.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 12-18, 2022, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Offense --- Ashley Welk, Sr., MF, Marian University
Welk, a senior midfielder, netted four goals and an assist in two games last week as Marian opened NACC play with wins over Wisconsin Lutheran and Rockford. She opened the week with the first hat trick of her career in the Sabres' 4-3 win over WLC. Welk then added a goal and an assist in the victory over Rockford.

Defense --- Brooke Braga, So, GK, Concordia University Wisconsin
Braga, a sophomore goalkeeper, registered two clean sheets last week as the Falcons opened NACC play with shutout victories over Aurora and Benedictine. She totaled eight saves over 180 minutes in goal - three against the Spartans and five against the Eagles.

This is the second consecutive week Braga has been honored with a NACC weekly award.
