GREEN BAY, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Milwaukee School of Engineering placed nine runners in the top 17 overall, totaling 32 points to capture the men's team title at the 2025 Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cross Country Championships Saturday at UW-Green Bay's Shorewood Cross Country Course.
It is the fifth consecutive title for the Raiders and eighth overall. Wisconsin Lutheran College finished second with 61 points followed by St. Norbert College (78) and Concordia University, Wisconsin (95). Dominican University placed fifth with 156 points, while Concordia University Chicago (190) edged Illinois Institute of Technology (194), Rockford University (195), and Aurora University (203) for sixth place. Benedictine University and Edgewood University both sent competitors but did not post team scores.

Isaiah Lubner won the individual title, covering the 8-kilometer course in 25:35.9, 6.5 seconds clear of runner-up
Karan Shetty of Benedictine (25:43.3). MSOE's
Samuel McPeak was third (25:56.7). McPeak was joined in the top-15 by teammates
Zach Zuzzio (sixth, 26:17.6),
Chase Nogalaki (seventh, 26:20.2),
Joseph Hillyer (10th, 26:30.5),
Jack Dorner (11th, 26:31.3),
Patrick Lee (12th, 26:34.2), and
Jackson Braun (14th, 26:50.3).
Wisconsin Lutheran's
Isaiah Herried (26:06.5) and
Arnold Rupnow (26:15.5) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, while St. Norbert's
Lawrence Huffman (eighth, 26:25.4) and
Christian Lopez (13th, 26:34.9), Concordia Wisconsin's
Jonah Slavik (ninth, 26:27.4), and Edgewood's
Tyler Mueller (15th, 26:51.5) round out the top 15.
The top 15 finishers were recognized with all-conference honors.
Lubner's victory marked the sixth individual title for a CUW men's runner. The last was Timmy Brey in 2023.
Hillyer earned NACC Freshman of the Year honors as the top finishing true freshman at the championships. He is the sixth MSOE runner to be named NACC Freshman of the Year and the fourth in five years.
The MSOE coaching staff, led by head coach
Bill Massoels, was recognized by its peers as the 2025 NACC Men's Cross Country Coaching Staff of the Year. This is the fifth consecutive year and the seventh time in eight years that Massoels or a Massoels-led staff has been honored. It is also the ninth time the honor has been won by an MSOE coach.
While there is limited action next weekend, the next big events on the NACC cross country calendar are the NCAA Division III Regional Championships on Saturday, Nov. 15. Illinois-based NACC schools will compete in the Midwest Region Championships at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, while Wisconsin-based NACC schools will compete in the North Region Championships at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin. The 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships are slated for Saturday, Nov. 22, at Roger Milliken Research Park in Spartansburg, S.C.
