MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- A total of 10 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) women's soccer student-athletes representing four institutions have been named all-region by United Soccer Coaches.
Conference champion Illinois Institute of Technology led all NACC programs with four all-region selections, including two first-team picks - seniors
Kelly Hitchcock (midfielder) and
Kayla Smith (forward). Senior defender
Gabriella Baltes and freshman defender
Grace Yager were named to the second team. Joining Baltes and Yager on the second team are Milwaukee School of Engineering seniors
Page Sanchez (goalkeeper) and
Elizabeth Kuhn (forward).
Concordia University Wisconsin junior defender
Lanie Czerkies and freshman forward
Koffy'e Chappel, Edgewood University senior forward
Greta Blau, and MSOE senior midfielder
Faith Papazoglou were named to the all-region third team.
The NACC led all Region VIII conferences in total selections with 10, followed by the University Athletic Association and Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (both nine) and the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (eight). The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference had three all-region picks. The NACC and CCIW were both represented by a region-high four schools.
