NACC Announces 2025 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team, Major Awards

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced its all-conference team and major award winners for the 2025 women's lacrosse season.

Regular season champion Lake Forest College secured three of the six major awards as seniors Jenna Doctor and Savannah Frauhiger were named NACC Attacker of the Year and NACC Defender of the Year, respectively, while the coaching staff led by head coach Casey Ryan was selected by their peers as the NACC Coaching Staff of the Year.

Beloit College senior Maya DeGeorge was named NACC Midfielder of the Year. A pair of Aurora University freshmen secured the final two major awards as Rachel Wickey was named NACC Goalkeeper of the Year and midfielder Olivia Dahlberg was named NACC Freshman of the Year.

Attacker of the Year - Jenna Doctor, Sr., A, Lake Forest College
Doctor has proven herself to be one of the top offensive players in NCAA Division III. She has started all 17 games for the Foresters headed into Saturday's NACC Tournament final, racking up 106 points on 16 assists and a NACC single-season record 90 goals. Doctor scored at least two goals in each of Lake Forest's 16 regular-season games, including a NACC season-best 10 in the regular-season finale at Illinois Tech. She has also had an assist in 11 of 17 games.

In nine conference games, Doctor had 60 goals and 11 assists, leading all NACC players in goals scored and ranking second to running mate Emma Sharp in points.

Through games played April 30, Doctor ranks third nationally in goals scored (90), sixth in goals per game (5.29), 11th in points (106), 16th in points per game (6.24), 13th in shots on goal per game (7.24), 26th in shot percentage (.621), and 27th in shots per game (8.53).

Midfielder of the Year - Maya DeGeorge, Sr., M, Beloit College
DeGeorge started all 14 games for the Buccaneers this season, finishing the year with 81 points on 75 goals and five assists. She scored at least two goals in every contest, led by a season-high nine goals in win over Illinois Tech on April 16. DeGeorge scored at least seven goals on four other occasions. Of her 75 goals, 26 came on free-position shots, including a NACC season-best four against MSOE. A reflection of her two-way play and impact on the Beloit squad, DeGeorge ranked either first or second on the team in nearly every major statistical category.

She ranks amongst the leaders in NCAA Division III in a handful of categories, including standing atop the national rankings in ground balls per game at 6.29. DeGeorge also ranks third in free position goals per game (1.86), fourth in both shots (10.64) and shots on goal (8.29) per game, fifth in goals per game (5.36), and seventh in goals (75). She also holds a top-30 national ranking in draw controls per game (13th, 7.50), points per game (24th, 5.79), and caused turnovers per game (29th, 2.57).

This is the second NACC major award for the Beloit program. Maggie Mudd was named NACC Freshman of the Year last season.

Defender of the Year - Savannah Frauhiger, Sr., D, Lake Forest College
Frauhiger, a stalwart for Lake Forest on defense, has started all 17 games for the Foresters headed into Saturday's NACC Tournament final. She leads Lake Forest with 48 ground balls and 35 caused turnovers, reaching high water marks in both categories in a 17-8 win over Edgewood on April 9. Against the Eagles, Frauhiger had nine ground balls and a NACC season-best eight caused turnovers. She also had eight ground balls in a win over Cornell.

Goalkeeper of the Year - Rachel Wickey, Fr., G, Aurora University
Wickey played in all 18 games for the Spartans this season, starting 13. In just over 630 minutes, she posted a 9.713 goals-against average while making 103 saves on 205 shots on goal for a .502 save percentage.

Wickey posted double figures in saves on three occasions, including a season-high 17 against UW-La Crosse.

This is the first year the NACC has recognized a Goalkeeper of the Year.

Freshman of the Year - Olivia Dahlberg, M, Aurora University
Dahlberg started all 18 games for the Spartans this season, quickly adjusting to the pace of the college game. She finished the season with 46 points on 38 goals and eight assists while converting on 10 of 21 free-position shots. Dahlberg also scooped 42 ground balls, caused 21 turnovers and had 50 draw controls.

Dahlberg scored at least one goal in 16 of 18 games, posting a season-best five points on four goals and an assist against both MSOE and Lawrence. She also scored four times - including twice on free-position shots - in a win over Concordia Wisconsin. Dahlberg also had five caused turnovers and four draw controls against the Falcons.

An all-around contributor, she led all Aurora players this season in ground balls, ranked second in draw controls, and third in caused turnovers, goals, and points.

This is the first time an Aurora student-athlete has been named NACC Women's Lacrosse Freshman of the Year.

Coaching Staff of the Year - Lake Forest College (Casey Ryan, head coach)
The Foresters, led by second-year head coach Casey Ryan and assistants Claire Quist and Amy Budde, won the NACC title in their first year in the conference with a perfect 9-0 record and have advance to Saturday's NACC Tournament final against Edgewood.

Led by the high-powered tandem of Emma Sharp and Jenna Doctor, Lake Forest leads the NACC in most every offensive category including scoring offense (16.71 goals per game), scoring margin (+8.65), points per game (25.06), assists per game (8.35), shots per game (34.53), and shots on goal per game (25.76). The Foresters also averaged just 17.06 turnovers per game, a NACC low, and rank second in caused turnovers per game (15.24), draw controls per game (14.65), scoring defense (8.06 goals per game), and shot percentage (.484).

Nationally, the Foresters rank in the top 20 in caused turnovers per game (sixth), shots per game (11th), scoring offense (16th), scoring margin (17th), shots on goal per game (20th), and assists per game (20th).

All-Conference Team Named
Lake Forest and regular-season runner-up Aurora accounted for 13 of 28 total all-conference selections, with Aurora landing a league-best five players on the first team.
