WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (naccsports.org) --- Aurora University fired an opening-round 339 to sit 27th overall after 18 holes at the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at Kingsmill Resort.
After inclement weather swept through the area Tuesday, the Spartans were forced to finish their first round on Wednesday morning.
Natalie Schroeder led Aurora with a 10-over 82 on the par-72, 5,817-yard Plantation Course. Megan Kobelt and Michelle Beggs each fired opening-round 85s, while Anna Simpson shot an 87 and Ellie Knight carded an 89.
As a consequence of the delayed finish to the first round, the start of the Wednesday's second round was also delayed.
The Spartans shifted to the par-72, 5,820-yard River Course for the second round, but were only able to make it through roughly half of their round before play was suspended due to lightning. Schroeder is currently 3-over through 11 holes in her second round and is 85th overall at +13. Kobelt is 7-over through nine holes and 125th overall at +20. Knight and Beggs are tied for 133rd place overall at +20. Knight is 5-over through eight holes in round two, while Beggs is 9-over through 10 holes. Simpson is 11-over through 11 holes in round two and 147th overall at +26.
Round two of the Championship will resume at 7:30 a.m. CT Thursday.
The field will be cut the to the top 15 teams after 36 holes of play. The top six individuals not on advancing teams will also compete in the final 36 holes of the championship.
