Maddie Fink Named St. Norbert Softball Coach

DE PERE, Wis. – Maddie Fink has been named St. Norbert College head softball coach, athletics director Cam Fuller announced today (May 21).

Fink, who was an assistant coach this past spring with the Green Knights while also working as an area coordinator in the college's Residential Education and Housing office, brings a decorated playing career into her first head coaching job. She begins June 1.

"Maddie is a rising star in the coaching profession and has a clear vision for success," Fuller said. "That vision seamlessly aligns with our four department pillars – academic success, athletic competitiveness, community building and student-athlete experience. Her successful playing and coaching experience makes her the right leader at the right time for our softball program."

Fink led UW-Oshkosh to some of its brightest moments on the softball diamond, fashioning a 53-14 career record with 342 strikeouts in 446 1/3 innings pitched and a 1.73 earned run average. Fink was a first-team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection in 2021 and 2023. She was named WIAC Pitcher of the Year in 2021 after going 21-5 with a 1.89 earned average and leading the Titans to an NCAA Division III World Series appearance. Fink was a second-team NFCA All-Region selection in 2023 and a third-team all-region honoree in 2021.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to be named as the next head coach for Green Knights softball," Fink said. "I want to thank the St. Norbert College athletics department for the opportunity to lead this amazing group of athletes for seasons to come. St. Norbert athletics has a history and a culture of excellence, and I promise to continue that into the future as we continue to grow as great people and great softball players."

A Stevens Point native, Fink graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at St. Norbert College.
