MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced the 18 nominees for the 2024-2025 G. Steven Larson NACC Student-Athlete of the Year Awards. The winners are selected by the conference's Senior Woman Administrator Standing Committee (SWASC).
The winners will be announced Wednesday, July 30.
Of the 18 nominees, nine represent men's sports and nine represent women's sports.
Each of the NACC's 14 members may nominate up to three student-athletes - one representing men's sports and two representing women's sports - for the annual award, provided at least one of the institution's women's sports nominees is a student-athlete of color or an international student-athlete. The SWASC uses a combination of the following criteria in the selection of the award -- athletic excellence, academic achievement, service and leadership, and personal statement.
All Larson Student-Athlete of the Year Award winners will advance to represent the NACC in the D3 Commissioners Association (D3CA) Student-Athletes of the Year awards process, while the women's sports honoree (or honorees) also move forward as the NACC's conference-level nominee(s) for the NCAA's Woman of the Year award.
