Edgewood Names Mitch Wilkins to Lead Men’s Lacrosse Program

MADISON, Wis.Mitch Wilkins has been named the Edgewood University men's lacrosse head coach, Director of Athletics Nick Pasquarello announced Wednesday. Wilkins, a former player and assistant coach at Indiana Tech, brings 10 years of coaching experience to Edgewood University.

"We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mitch Wilkins as the new head coach of the Men's Lacrosse program at Edgewood University," said Eagles Director of Athletics Nick Pasquarello. "Following a comprehensive search process, Coach Wilkins distinguished himself as an exceptional leader with a deep understanding of the game and a proven ability to inspire his student athletes."

Wilkins spent the last six years at Indiana Tech where he helped the program to a top five team in the NAIA. Wilkins began as a graduate assistant, before being elevated to assistant coach. During his time as an assistant coach, the Warriors collected five consecutive WHAC Conference Championships and finished as national runners-up in 2021, 2022, and 2023. During his time at Indiana Tech, Wilkins coached six offensive first team All-Americans and two National Players of the Year. Wilkins served as the offensive coordinator for the Warriors and oversaw recruiting. In the fall of 2024, Wilkins brought in the largest freshman class in program history.

"I'm incredibly honored to be named the new head men's lacrosse coach at Edgewood University," Wilkins said. "I want to thank Director of Athletics Nick Pasquarello and the entire search committee for trusting me to lead this program. The potential within this roster, the University's clear commitment to its athletic department, and the beautiful city of Madison all made this an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I'm grateful for my time at Indiana Tech and all the players I had the privilege to coach. I'd like to thank Coach Bryan Seaman for his mentorship over the years and for teaching me what it means to lead. Most importantly, I want to thank my wife, Sarah, for the sacrifices she has made to help me in achieving my goal of turning my passion into a career and to my sons, Liam and Levi, who inspire me every day."

In addition to Indiana Tech, Wilkins is the founder and director of Revolt Lacrosse Club. Wilkins oversaw budgeting, organization of schedules, recruiting and coaching responsibilities within the club.

"His (Wilkins) emphasis on discipline, teamwork, and personal growth reflects the values we seek to uphold within our athletic community," said Pasquarello. "Coach Wilkins has demonstrated a clear vision for advancing the lacrosse program at Indiana Tech, and we believe his leadership will create meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes to excel both academically and athletically. Wilkins earned his Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Indiana Tech. Wilkins went on to earn his MBA in Project Management from Indiana Tech.
