MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) is excited to announce that it has reached an agreement to participate in the inaugural Riverbend Bowl Series - a postseason football event that will bring together teams from four NCAA Division III conferences for two games in the Fox Cities region of Wisconsin.

The inaugural series is scheduled to feature two games at Neenah High School on Saturday, Nov. 21, with kickoff times set for noon and 5:00 p.m. Participating teams, selection criteria, ticket information, and broadcast details will be announced at a later date.

The American Rivers Conference - an NCAA Division III conference with members in Iowa and Nebraska - is spearheading the development and coordination of the series.

"The NACC is excited to participate in the inaugural Riverbend Bowl Series and provide our student-athletes with an additional opportunity to conclude their season in a meaningful postseason environment," remarked NACC Commissioner Jeff Ligney. "This collaboration will reward deserving teams with a first-class championship experience while bringing Division III football programs together at a centralized location within our region. We appreciate the American Rivers Conference’s leadership in developing this innovative event and look forward to helping establish the Riverbend Bowl Series as a memorable experience for our student-athletes, coaches and fans.”

The Riverbend Bowl Series represents a second bowl opportunity for NACC football programs, following the established SmileyCookie.com Lakefront Bowl.

"We are honored and so excited to have the inaugural Riverbend Bowl Series take place in the Fox Cities this November," wrote Matt Ten Haken, Director of Sports Marketing at Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau. "This event will be a tremendous culmination of a great season of college football for these teams and we expect an exciting game-day atmosphere and intense competition. When they are not at the field, visitors will be able to explore how much there is to eat, see, and do in the Fox Cities area."
