NACC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors to Edgewood's Brown, WLC's Zarling

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Edgewood University senior Madeline Brown (Kenosha, Wis.) and Wisconsin Lutheran College junior Ava Zarling (Jackson, Wis.) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 14-20, 2026, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Defense --- Madeline Brown, Sr., GK, Edgewood University
Brown, a senior goalkeeper, claimed seven saves en route to two wins in net for Edgewood. She recorded two saves without conceding a goal in 76 minutes as the Eagles opened NACC play with a 4-1 win at Lakeland on Sept. 16. Brown then added five saves en route to a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Aurora Sept. 20.

Offense --- Ava Zarling, Jr., F, Wisconsin Lutheran College
Zarling, a junior forward, tallied two goals and two assists in Wisconsin Lutheran's 5-2 conference-opening win over Concorida Wisconsin on Sept. 19. She led all players with seven shots and was credited with the game-winning goal in WLC's lone contest of the week. Zarling's performance helped Wisconsin Lutheran extend its best start to a season in program history to 5-0-0, secure its first conference-opening win since 2019, and snap a 25-match losing streak to the Falcons.
