Milton led the Cougar men to a second place finish at their own Cougar Invitational on Friday, helping account for 30 of the team's 87 points. He won the long jump (21'4") and triple jump (41'4 1/2") and was part of the 4 x 100 relay team that broke the tape with a time of 44.11 seconds.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field
Stacey Sara, Benedictine University

Sara won the 100m dash (:13.07) and 100 hurdles (:16.00) missing the school hurdle mark by one one-hundredth of a second at the Concordia University Chicago Cougar Invitational. She also finished second in the 200m (:26.87) on her way to contributing over 30 points to the Lady Eagles third place finish at the event.

The freshman won the discus with a throw of 48.70m (159'9"), good enough for an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark, at the Benedictine University Invitational. Kibierska also finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 15.16m (49'9").

Janeen Corbin, Concordia University Wisconsin

Corbin won the long jump event and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships with a jump of 5.53, (18'1.75") at the Benedictine University Invitational. Corbin also placed fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.48m (4'10.75").

Matt Wilkin, Benedictine University

Wilkin recorded two top-two finishes at the Elmhurst Invitational last Saturday (April 14). He placed first in the discus (132'3") and set a new school record with throw of 165'7" in the hammer throw for a second place finish, yet best among Division III competitors.

Brennan won the hammer throw event at the Wheaton College (Ill.) Invitational on Saturday with a throw of 43.28 meters.

Geoff Gipson, Concordia University Chicago
...6'0...Senior...Bellwood, Ill. (Proviso West)...
Gipson finished second in the 200 meter dash and third in the 100 at the Chicagoland Championships at North Central College this past weekend. His time of 22.29 in the 200 was second only to the runner from Division I DePaul University, and his time of 11.03 in the 100 was just .10 seconds behind the leader. Geoff's efforts helped the Cougars to a 14th place finish.

Brennan finished fourth in the hammer throw with a throw of 42.71m (140-01). The throw was the best Division III mark in the event.

Moses led the Cougar men to second place finishes in both the Trinity Christian and North Park meets last week. He won the triple jump in both meets (39' 7" and 11.60 meters), finished second in both meets in the long jump (19' 1" and 6.10 meters) and was part of the winning relay teams in the 4 x 100 (both meets) and the 4 x 200 at Trinity.

Sara won the 100 meter hurdles, was on winning 4x200 relay quartet, as well as taking a 2nd with the 4x100 relay team at Trinity Christian College "Troll Relays" on Wednesday. On Saturday at the North Park Viking Invitational, she won the 100 meter dash, 100 hurdles, 200 meter dash, and was on the winning 4x100 relay team in leading the Eagles to the team title at the event. All individual marks were personal records as she contributed 30 individual points toward the women's first meet victory in the last ten years.

Lorenzen placed first in the 22 team the Lynx Spring Break Invitational at Rhodes College this weekend in the 10,000 meter run. Lorenzen's time of 32:16.90 is only one minute off a national qualifying time in the event.

Corbin placed first in the 22 team invitational at Rhodes College this weekend in the women's long jump. Her jump of 17'9.5" is only 4 inches away from nationally qualifying in the event.

Fran Sikorski, Aurora University
...5'9...Senior...Lombard, Ill. (Driscoll)...
Sikorski set AU records in the 800m run and 1,500m run. She finished seventh in the 800m with a time of 5:01.12 and ninth in the 1,500m with a time of 2:28.23 at the Lynx Spring Break Invitational at Rhodes College.
