INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Dominican University has been drawn into a regional pod hosted by Hope College and will face University of Chicago in an NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship first-round match Friday, the NCAA announced Monday.

The kickoff time will be announced at a later time.

The Stars (16-2-3) advanced to the NCAA Championship defeating Benedictine University, 6-0, Saturday in the championship match of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament to secure the NACC's automatic berth.

U-Chicago (11-1-5) secured the automatic berth out of the University Athletic Association by winning the league's regular-season title. The Maroons defeated Washington-St. Louis, 3-0, Saturday to complete their UAA slate with an unblemished 7-0 mark.

Dominican is in the field for the 16th time in 18 years, advancing as far as the national semifinals in 2009. Chicago is making its sixth straight appearance and 11th trip overall, advancing to the national semifinals on three occasions (1996, 2017, 2018).

The Dominican-Chicago winner will face either Ohio Wesleyan (13-4-3) or host Hope (14-5-1) in a second-round match Saturday.
