NEW ORLEANS – All-Region honors for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced Sunday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of the top-three ranked relay teams.
Aurora University and Concordia University Chicago each earned four honors, while Benedictine University and Milwaukee School of Engineering had one apiece.
Aurora senior thrower Ryan Njegovan (shot put, discus) and Concordia Chicago sprinter Kayla Armstrong (200, 400) each earned all-region honors in two events, with Armstrong posting a pair of regional top performances.
A third CUC student-athlete - senior thrower Jessica Wilson - also posted a top regional performance in the hammer.
Aurora's Adriana Ramirez (javelin) and Jocelyn Ocon (hammer), Benedictine's Marcos Garcia (5,000), Concordia Chicago's Simone Wilson (400 hurdles) and MSOE's Jerica Kotarak (triple jump) also received all-region honors.
