Concordia University Wisconsin and Dominican University each captured home victories Tuesday evening to advance to the semifinal round of the 2019 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Basketball Tournament.

MEQUON, Wis. --- The third-seeded Falcons (18-8) outscored the sixth-seeded Raiders (13-13), 18-4, in the second quarter to take a double-digit halftime lead at R. John Buuck Field House. CUW held MSOE to 0-of-9 shooting from behind the arc and forced nine turnovers.
MSOE rebounded in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to four points with a 23-14 run. The Raiders drained four 3-pointers during the stretch, but CUW hung on during the final quarter to advance.
Falcon senior Baylee Barker - who scored her 1,000th career point in the contest - led all players with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Junior Arianna Liddicoat netted 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Emily Hafemann recorded her third career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Kayla Barreto scored 15 points to lead MSOE, while Jamie Spanbauer had 11 points and Samantha Brooker hauled in 10 rebounds, stole four passes and blocked four shots.
#4 Dominican 55, #5 Aurora 35
RIVER FOREST, Ill. --- Dominican senior Nyema Burns recorded the first triple-double in NACC Tournament history, picking up 11 points, 18 rebounds and 10 blocks as the fourth-seeded Stars topped fifth-seeded Aurora, 55-35, at Igini Sports Forum.
Dominican (17-9) held Aurora to just four made field goals in the first half but only led 20-13 at the break. The Spartans (11-14) rebounded in the third quarter to cut the deficit to just two at 31-29 headed to the final stanza, but the Stars finished the game on a 24-6 run to keep their season alive.
The hosts blocked 17 shots while holding Aurora to 17.5 percent (10-of-57) shooting.
Aurora's Julie Galauner led all players with 15 points. Alyssa Brems added 10, reaching 1,000 career points in the process.
Timiya Ray led Dominican with 13 points while also adding seven boards and five blocks. Amari Stafford chipped in with 12 points to give the Stars three in double figures.
With the victories, CUW and Domincian advance to the semifinals of the NACC Tournament, which will be held Friday night at Wisconsin Lutheran's Recreation Complex in Milwaukee. Concordia Wisconsin, as the higher-seeded first-round winner, will face No. 2-seed Lakeland in the opening semifinal at 5 p.m. Dominican will play the host and top-seeded Warriors in the late game at 7:30 p.m. The winners of the two semifinals will play for the tournament crown at 7 p.m. Saturday. The tournament champion receives the NACC's automatic berth to the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.
