MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced its major awards and all-conference teams for the 2019 women's soccer season.

Concordia University Wisconsin midfielder Karoline Haugland was named both the NACC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year and the NACC Women's Soccer Freshman of the Year, while Dominican University defender Danielle Mason repeated as NACC Defensive Player of the Year. Concordia Wisconsin head coach Ryan Middendorf was recognized by his peers as the 2019 NACC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year.

The awards are voted on by the league's head coaches.

Haugland (Bergen, Norway) ranks among Division III's leaders in scoring with 66 points on a league-leading 28 goals and 10 assists. She has recorded at least one point in 15 of 20 games, including five games with at least seven points. Haugland's season-best point total of nine came on the strength of four goals and an assist against Edgewood on Oct. 9. She also scored four goals against Elmhurst on Oct. 29 and had back-to-back 3-goal, 2-assist games against Lakeland and Alverno to open the conference season. In NACC play alone, Haugland registered 46 points on 19 goals and eight assists. Four of her 28 goals have been game-winners.

Mason (Noblesville, Ind. | Guerin Catholic) anchors the backline for a Dominican defense that has allowed just 13 goals headed into the NACC Tournament final and leads all NACC programs with an 0.68 goals-against average. Offensively, Mason also tallied four points on a goal and two assists. Her lone goal was the game-winning tally in Dominican's 1-0 win over Illinois Tech on Sept. 25.

Middendorf, in his 17th season, was named NACC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year for the second time after leading the Falcons to a 16-4-0 mark overall, a runner-up finish in the NACC regular-season race with a 10-2-0 mark, and a berth in the NACC Tournament final for the third time. Concordia Wisconsin ranks among the highest-scoring teams in Division III, averaging 4.6 goals per game. Additionally, the Falcons are the only NACC program in the top 50 of Division III in save percentage (.839). Middendorf's previous NACC Coach of the Year honor came in 2015.

Concordia Wisconsin and Dominican totaled seven all-NACC selections apiece - each holding down one-quarter of the 28 available spots on the two 14-player all-conference teams. The conference champion Stars placed five on the first team, while the Falcons netted four first-teamers. Milwaukee School of Engineering had four all-league picks, including first-teamer Caitie LeVasseur, while Illinois Institute of Technology and Benedictine University had three each. Two of the Scarlet Hawks' three selections (Harris, Griggs) landed on the first team, as did both Aurora University's all-NACC honorees (Grotelueschen, Abelove). The final two all-NACC honorees were second-teamers hailing from Marian University.
