MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced its major awards and all-conference teams for the 2019 women's volleyball season.

Aurora University swept the four major awards as freshman outside hitter Sydnei Avery (Yorkville, Ill. | Yorkville) was named NACC Women's Volleyball Player of the Year as well NACC Freshman of the Year, junior defensive specialist Julia Wood (Bloomington, Ind. | Bloomington North) was named NACC Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Year, and head coach James Seitelman was named NACC Women's Volleyball Coach of the Year.

The All-NACC women's volleyball team and major awards are selected by a vote of the league's head coaches.

Avery has played in 30 of 31 matches and leads all NACC players in total kills (415), kills per set (4.03) and total attacks (1,252). She has posted double figures in kills on 25 occasions, topping 20 on three occasions and posting a season-high 24 in a four-set win over UW-La Crosse on Oct. 25. Her numbers place her inside the top 25 in NCAA Division III in both categories. Wood has posted double figures in digs in 27 of 31 matches this season, surpassing 30 on three occasions and posting a season-best 33 twice -- Sept. 6 against Hardin-Simmons and Oct. 5 against Lakeland. Seitelman, in his seventh season, led the Spartans to a 21-10 mark during the regular season, a share of a second-consecutive NACC title with a 10-2 mark in league play, and the top seed in the NACC Tournament. Under his guidance, Aurora has finished either first or second in the league each of the past four seasons. Through Nov. 5, the Spartans lead all NACC programs in kills (1,385), assists (1,309), digs (2,053) and total attacks (4,178).
