NACC Football Weekly Honors to BenU's Pritt, Lakeland's Michael and Garcia

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Benedictine University junior Brian Pritt (Chicago, Ill.) and Lakeland University sophomore Robby Michael (Sheboygan, Wis.) and freshman Jesus Garcia (El Paso, Texas) have been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Football Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 18-24, 2023, as selected by the league's athletics commnications professionals.

Offense --- Robby Michael, so., QB, Lakeland University
Michael, a sophomore quarterback, accounted forĀ 349 yards of offense and five touchdowns in Muskies' 41-20 win over Rockford. He passed for 206 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed 13 times for 143 yards - an average of 11.0 yards per carry - and two touchdowns. It was Michael's second 100-yard rushing game this season and the fourth time in four games this season with at least 80 yards rushing. He ranks fourth in NCAA Division III in total offense, averaging 390.2 yards per game.

Defense --- Brian Pritt, jr., DL, Benedictine University
Pritt, a junior defensive lineman, recorded three sacks for a total of 19 yards in Benedictine's 48-14 win over Concordia Chicago. He posted a 12-yard sack on a 4th-and-4 late in the second quarter to stop CUC at the Benedictine 30-yard line. He finished with five tackles, including 3.5 for loss. He leads all NACC players with five sacks in three games.

Special Teams --- Jesus Garcia, fr., PK, Lakeland University
Garcia, a freshman placekicker, was a perfect 5-for-5 on PATs and made field goals from 38 and 28 yards in Lakeland's 41-20 win over Rockford. He also averaged over 50 yards per kickoff with a pair of touchbacks.
