MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- Illinois Institute of Technology senior Garrison Carter (Island Lake, Ill.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 8-14, 2025, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

Carter, a senior, had back-to-back big games last week, posting consecutive double-doubles and reaching the 1,000 career point plateau as the Scarlet Hawks went 2-0. Carter began the week with a 26-point, 12-rebound effort in the Illinois Tech's 69-63 NACC win over Rockford on Dec. 10. He followed that up with a 25-point, 12-rebound performance - including a 6-of-9 perfromance from behind the 3-point line - in a 91-83 non-conference victory over Kalamazoo on Dec. 13. Carter surpassed the 1,000 career point threshold with a 3-pointer with two minutes remaining in the first half against Kalamazoo. Carter shot 62.1 percent (18-29) from the field and 64.3 percent (8-14) from 3-point range during the week, while also adding four steals and three blocks.
